The short version
- Tripami helps friends share a trip. You own what you add, and you let us use it to run Tripami for you and your crew.
- Leave-by times, travel times and imported details are helpful estimates, not guarantees. Always check with your airline, hotel or transport provider.
- Tripami never holds or moves money. Balances are records to help you settle up.
- Be good to the people on your trip. Only add people and details you have the right to share.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“Tripami,” “we,” “us”) about your use of the Tripami apps, website and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, joining a trip or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. Who can use Tripami
You must be at least [13] years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to use Tripami. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission. You can’t use Tripami if the law prohibits you from doing so.
3. Your account
You can sign in with a phone number or a supported provider such as Apple or Google. Keep your sign-in details and devices secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account, so tell us right away at support@tripami.app if you think it’s been compromised.
If someone added you to a trip before you had an account, joining links your account to the traveler already on that trip, so your plans, attendance and expenses carry over.
4. Trips, crews and invites
- Roles: the person who creates a trip is its owner. Owners, and any admins they choose, can invite people and manage the trip. Members can follow the trip and add to it, depending on the trip’s settings. [Confirm role permissions.]
- Shared by design: what you add to a trip is visible to the people on that trip, except anything you keep private.
- Invites: anyone with an active invite link can see a limited preview of the trip. Only share links with people you mean to invite. Invite links expire, and they can be revoked.
- Adding people: when you add someone, you confirm that you have a good reason to share their name and contact details with Tripami, for example because they’re traveling with you.
- Sensitive actions: Tripami asks you to confirm before actions like removing a traveler, deleting a plan or deleting an expense.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add to Tripami, such as plans, notes, photos, documents and receipts (“Your Content”). You give Tripami a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, adapt and display Your Content, only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service and to show it to the people you share it with. For example, adapting means formatting Your Content for different screens.
This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service. The exceptions are copies other people on the trip still rely on, backups kept for a limited time, and anything we’re legally required to keep.
You’re responsible for Your Content, and you confirm that you have the rights needed to add it.
6. Connected services
Tripami can work with services you choose to connect, such as Gmail, calendars, payment apps and AI assistants. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you can disconnect them at any time. Tripami isn’t responsible for third-party services, and we may change or stop an integration if a provider changes or ends it.
Imported information stays a suggestion until you confirm it. Please review it carefully, because confirmation emails and documents can be incomplete or wrong.
7. Travel information is a guide, not a guarantee
Tripami shows estimates and information that come from you, your crew and third parties, including leave-by times, travel times, transportation details, flight status and imported bookings. This information can be incomplete, delayed or wrong, and conditions change.
Always confirm important details with your airline, hotel, venue or transportation provider, and leave extra time. Tripami isn’t a booking agent or travel provider and isn’t responsible for your reservations. We aren’t liable for missed flights, connections, reservations or other travel losses.
Don’t rely on Tripami in an emergency. Contact local emergency services.
8. Money features
Tripami helps you record shared expenses, scan receipts and see who owes what. Tripami doesn’t hold funds, transfer money or process payments, and it doesn’t give financial, tax or legal advice.
Balances, splits, receipt readings and currency conversions are estimates you should check. Payments happen outside Tripami, in services you choose and under their terms. Settling up is between you and the people on your trip.
9. Acceptable use
Don’t use Tripami to:
- break the law or violate anyone’s rights, including their privacy;
- harass, threaten, stalk or track anyone, or share someone’s location or details without their permission;
- send spam or unwanted invites;
- upload malware or unlawful content;
- access accounts, trips or data you’re not allowed to access, or get around security measures or limits;
- scrape, copy or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
- impersonate someone or misrepresent your connection to anyone;
- harm Tripami, its users or its systems.
We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules.
10. Tripami’s rights
Tripami, including its software, design, name and logos, belongs to Tripami and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes under these terms. Please don’t use our name or logos without permission.
11. Feedback
We love hearing ideas. If you send us suggestions, we can use them without any obligation to you.
12. Changes to Tripami and these terms
Tripami is growing, and features will change. We may add, change or remove features. If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Tripami after that, you accept the updated terms.
13. Ending your use of Tripami
You can stop using Tripami and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if your use puts others at risk. When we can, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and disputes, continue after your account ends.
14. Disclaimers
Tripami is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information in it will be accurate. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tripami isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, travel costs or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or [USD 50].
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
If you use Tripami in a way that breaks these terms or the law and a claim against Tripami results, you agree to cover Tripami’s reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
17. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Dispute resolution and venue: to be decided with counsel.]
If you’re a consumer, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you.
18. App Store terms
If you downloaded Tripami from Apple’s App Store, these additional terms apply:
- These terms are between you and Tripami, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app doesn’t conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Tripami, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app doesn’t meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.
- Tripami, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending and settling any claim that the app infringes someone else’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you’re not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you’re not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
19. General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Tripami about the Service. If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a right, we haven’t waived it. You can’t transfer these terms without our permission. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
